$700.00 to install a water pump, Ouch!

Guess I have to bite the bullet they want $700.00 plus tax parts & labor to install a exchange water pump on my Cat 3406C Engine. That is a quote from 2 shops. That little drip out the weep hole from a ceramic seal being worn sure is big bucks! I guess since it is a gear driven pump there are a lot of parts to come off just to remove it. I am not going to do it myself this time it takes special tools to remove it. 4-5 hours labor to get it done. Glad I caught it befor inspection! Mark H.
