Poly startup, continued

Getting closer to firing up the poly. I noticed that one of the valve rockers rocks back and forth with no resistance. It probably moves 1/4 inch. As this engine has hydraulic lifters I am assuming that the lifter has failed. Here is the question.
Is it going to cause damage the anything to start it in this condition, and is it likely to rejuvenate itself as it is bathed in warm clean oil.
