The push of the booster activates (pushes) the Master Cylinder Piston. A given amount of Brake Fluid must me moved to force each caliper to function. If a Master Cylinder of a small bore is used, even with full push, not enough brake fluid will be moved to the calipers. By going with a larger size bore, the same stroke (push) moves more brake fluid to the calipers. Thus the brake apply sooner with less stroke of the Master Cylinder which follow thru to less pedal movement to achieve the same brake action. By going with the 1.3125" Bore, the difference is pedal movement was night and day.
