i didn't know there were different types. i thought all the FFPW frames were the same from 46-68. is there something different i should know about?

i've read alot about the split rims (easily damaged, dangerous to use, etc), but i think they're cool, and initially i wanted to use them. but i don't want to drop thousands for custom rims just so i can get a little more top end speed out of it.
