Well in case anyone has had doubts about the plastic bed liners. Today I decided to pull my Dodge liner out of my 95 Ram. I bought the truck new in 1995 and in 1998 my friend gave me a used Dodge plastic bedliner. It has been in the truck every since. I figured today I would see if it paid off or hurt the truck all these years. I am happy to say after 7 years the bed looks about like it did when I put the liner in (Almost new!). There are some wear spots down to the primer but no rust anywhere and it was dry. I had hauled some minor things before the liner that scratched it in a few spots. Overall I think they are a good idea especially for a truck that is being worked. I did notice the 2 hole/hooks up front where the rubber plugs are at did collect dirt and I suspect this could be a trouble area someday when we are all long gone and someone is trying to restore a 90's Ram truck! HAHA! Mine were dirty but still clean and painted when I ran the hose around them. Now I will wait a day or 2 for everything to dry and stick the liner back in for another 7 years! Heck if I take care of it in 40 years I can sell it on the classifieds here for $150000! ;)
