The old-timer I previously mentioned who had a business using an "old Dodge 6-by" to pull stuck trucks up the Montana side of Lookout Pass in the winter kept the original NDTs on them. He had them siped and said it made a world of difference. That and some judicious use of black smelter slag to get started.
