The original engines in the WW II Dodge 1-1/2 ton WC-62 and WC-63 6X6 trucks had engine serial numbers that began with the 6X6 truck's engineering code: T-223. A few decades ago, I had a rebuilt T-223 engine in my 1942 WC-54 3/4 ton 4X4 military ambulance, which had been rebuilt in Germany during 1954.
