I recently bought a remote for my 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I had to have it reprogrammed by the Dodge/Jeep/etc. dealership. They will need both remotes in order to do the job. They hook up to the diagnostic port under the dash and use some sort of electrical gizmo. Go spend the money, it's almost Christmas after all!
