I know. I keep tabs on the problems people are seeing. So far so good. I have a feeling that a lot of the problems are caused by aftermarket performance chips. Yes there seems to be design issues and FORD caused problems These seem to be aggravated by aftermarket performance mods.
The only "bad" vehicle that I had was a Chevy Vega in 1974. It actually was a great car. It drove well once I got good tires on it. The engine did burn oil. The third time I pulled it only took about 30 min. The source of the burning oil was the valve stem seals. We took the engine apart 2 times and found no cylinder wear or other problems. Just those valve seals kept popping loose. I only saw blue smoke on start up.
