Trannys don't have thermostats, so a wide range of temps is usual. Motor oil runs about 260 degrees to keep water boiled off. What is the normal range for trannys? What temp to vaporize/boil?
Yes, it's the torque convertor that causes heat, not the tranny. Didn't I tell you that 4 months ago? Have you done a stall test? all you need is a tach. But, other than gauges and lights complaining about the temp, what real problems do you have?
