Charlie
I am fitting a 6.354 Perkins in my (2nd) 1964 W300 Crew Cab.
This engine is from the early-mid 70's, and was in a Ford when I got it. It could have been a stationary engine prior to the Ford tranplant. I will have to cut a relief into the alloy/alum oil pan pan to add clearance for the DANA 70 gear housing. My questions is - should I be concerned that it could have been a stationary engine and will now be used in a 4x4, going up or down hills while off road. It is a different pan than that in my original W300 with Perkins engine. Should I worry, or will it even matter since the oil capacity is 16.5 quarts?
Thanks -
Aaron
