You probably have a '77 model engine. On the passenger side of the engine there will be a flat area just behind the motor mount. This will have the serial number of the vehicle it came out of.


Be aware that the big block truck engines used a different oil pan and dipstick than car engines. I had a '77 Trailduster that had a 400 in it. The oil pan had been adjusted to fit with a hammer. The proper oil pan as a replacement part is very expensive. About $240. However, in the Mopar Performance catalog is an oil pan kit. Part number P5249064. It comes with oil pan, dipstick and tube, pan plug, and oil pickup tube. I think I paid less than $100 for the kit.
