What I did when I did a 74 for my work was I went to the dodge dealer and had them look up a 300 truck with the same whell base for an 86 truck, I bought all the cables and hardware for the 86 truck and installed it, the only thing is positioning the swivel brackets which mounts to the frame, you have to install the front cable first, the the rears, then position the center cable and swivel bracket so you can achieve proper adjustment, good luck
