Thanks for the info Scott. I've always leaned towards mechanical stuff over electric if possible. The only scenario I can think of that the electric might be better would be if a person took their PW swimming and it drowned. If you had Gel batteries you could pull it to the bank to dry out.
If I could pick your brain a little? What transfer cases are set up with for a PTO shaft?
I could spend hours researching, but I don't know if it would work with my set up anyway!

Has Dana 70's rear and front with full floaters and lock outs. 4.88 gears.440 out of a Trail Duster and a 727 tranny. NP 205 transfer case. Do I need to go with a manual transmission to have a PTO. The only experience I have with a PTO is a dump truck I occasionally drive and of course it is a manual. I'm wanting to build a radical off roader and want the strongest drive train I can get. Thanks
Yes, I do have a welder & I love my 1/4" plate bumpers!!!
