I just purchase a 1947 power wagon and need some information on where I can locate parts. My truck has no brakes on it .The prevoious owner was still using it at the time I purchased it and he used just the emergency brake to stop. Can I find any brake part such as wheel cylindars and a master cylindar at stores like NAPA or Baxter auto parts or do I have to buy them from Vintage Power Wagons. Also does anyone have a gas tank. mine is completely missing, right now we are using a three gallon can mounted to the running board. How much do thay cost and where can I find one. Also needed is a good tailgate. Finally does anyone have any good pictures of the interior, especially around the windsheild frame, headliner and around the rear window. Parts of the interior are missing and I need to know what covers the door posts next to the windsheild and headliner areaand behind the seat.
I just purchased the truck last week after nearly ten years of searching for one in my price range. My 1947 Power Wagon is complete and running, has a MU-3 Braden winch and 20 foot Gin boom off the front. other than finding the before mentioned parts and replacing interior peices that are missing, I got just what I wanted and I am thrilled to finally own one of these beasts.
Thanks in advance for info. and pics.
