Cummings 6bta and Allison Trans

I had a chance to test drive a Duramax with an Allison Trans. I still like my Cummings much better than the Duramax but that Allison was an impressive transmission. I wonder if that combo, Cummings 6bta and the Allison is in use anywhere out there? Any thoughts? Thanks Dan H
