It doesn't quite give me that warm fuzzy feeling like the hyphen as shown in the old literature.

Maybe ask COTM Mike Stone what he thinks of it: Gin*Pole, Split*Rim, Budd*Wheel, etc.

I know, put it between Flat and Fender because nobody seems to be able to explain the meaning of Flat*Fender anyway. ;^)
