head gaskets leak due to head or block warpage, defect or improper torquing. the fact that a properly machined head and block can seal with a dry gasket illustrates that a sealer is masking a problem. as far as i know, a leaking head gasket seal is a fix and replace & the add in or spray on stuff wont work for long. i hope you find its a gasket failure due torquing and a redo will get you done.
