Hit your thumb with the 5 lb sledge . Go back and do the job over and keep doing it until you smack your thumb. After striking your thumb you need to squeeze it with your other hand , then tuck them against your chest and jump around cussing. The final step is to lash out at sumthing and hurt it. This can be a door , window, welder or your toe. Whatever you lash out at will end up costing you some sort of pain.

Now you have done the job correctly.
