Actualy I got in 2 hours on the Carryall. I turned down the back of the Dana 70 hubs to take theChevy discs . The darn hubs are next to impssible to get in a 3 jawed truck and I did not have the patience to set up the four jaw. The darn 4 jaw chuck must weigh 80 lbs.
So what did I do ? I stuck the hubs on the Ammco brake lathe and tweaked a lathe bit to fit on the drum brake adapter. After about 40 passes the Chev discs pop right in place.
It is amazing how much work I can get done when I am avoiding other work. My bush truck is in the school shop.
I HAVE to work on it and get it going real soon. So what do I do ? I work on parts for the Carryall. Parts I do not need right away and might never use.
Lee I am on the Yahooey site. I am the guy looking for a 4bta up in B.C. I want the 4bta because of it has a thicker head than the 4bt head. If this is not true then I will settle for a 4bt.
Your axle combination sounds about perfect. I am trying for the driver side pumpkin but I may end up with the same axles as you are using. 4.65 or 4.88.
take care
Bruce
