Dana has had two problems in the past 10 years, poor quality axles in Jeep and Dodge vehicles, prompting numerous replacements at their expense, and a refusal to meet the new quality and cost standards set forth by DamilerChrysler when the company reorganized.
For that reason Dodge and Jeep have stopped using Dana axles in some product lines, that is most likely the reason for the cuts, more so than any reason given by Dana.
