The plugs don't expand, they shrink to the size of the plug hole to seal during the install process. I would replace the plug. I you don't do this sort of thing, find a local machinist willing to come out and install for a fee, or if the trucks drivable, take it to the machine shop. The NAPA plug numbers are under Group 22 in the PIF for Brass, Steel and Stainless Steel. Discuss the 3 options with the machinist as well as a warrenty of it leaks again. Istalled properly, you should not have a problems for many years.
