I figure that once you learned how M/S works
you could always diagnose problems. This is amazing for a build it yourself controller. You could probably install M/S on a lawn mower. Eventually you will be able to
control spark as well.
EFI could mean 1 or 2 MPG increase over a
well tuned carb system, better cold starting
and no more "gassy" smell from the choke.
Likely won't be much power increase over
a good operating carb. Carbed inline sixes
do not have optimal fuel distribution between
cylinders, multi-port EFI can help eliminate
rich and lean cylinders. Probably not
worth the effort, but M/S is pretty slick.
I only understand the basics of
carburator theory. I can better follow
the logic of computer controllers.
