I have an '03 Dodge CTD HO with the 48RE automatic. With 20K miles so far, absolute perfect performance. I also have an '87 Dodge CTD ('91 running gear) with the A727 with 140k miles and absolute perfect performance, but this one has a top speed of about 87 mph without the overdrive.
