Well, after using various, less than ideal, trailers to haul my trucks,I finally bought what I think is the ideal trailer for hauling them.
I bought a tandem axle gooseneck, 23'+2'dovetail, 8 1/2' wide, with drive-over fenders. This is a low deck trailer, so it is still only 83" between fenders. However the fenders only stick up about 9" above the deck, and you can drive over them. It has two, 7,000# axles, and brakes on both axles.
I plan on adding an electric winch on the front of the trailer, for those times when I might need to load a non-running vehicle.
The price for this trailer was $3895.00. It will make loading and unloading a lot easier than it was with my previous trailers. Hope to try it out on a short haul this Sat.
