Where are you at? $85 is pretty cheap even here, and is for mixed species (pine, fir, and tamarack), but $110 will get you good dry tamarack split and delivered. The small-time wood sellers can usually cut all they need within 10 miles of town and don't generally pay for it. The high school is looking into replacing their gas-fired boiler with a hog fuel boiler to make use of some of the slash that's now just being burnt in the woods. Apparently there's some outfit making modern low-maintenance hog fuel boilers for just this purpose. What we really need is a local pellet mill to pelletize the slash. Last year pellets were $120/ton. I haven't seen any prices yet this year.
