Yep, you said it, additionally is the alternator RPM issue.
The belt I'm using for the dry fit is the one that was on the '68, and it's wore and old. Other than the double pulley spacing difference (I'm only going to use one so no issue), the measurements are good. I'll have to make sure the new water pump and crank pulleys are the same as well.
The alternator has a maximum RPM of 18,000, and based on the pulley size I'll only spin it at 15,000 at 6,000 Engine RPM.
The truck will be completely re-wired, so I'll size everything to take the larger amperage. Even though I'll have a 12 volt truck, I'll have two batteries and an isolator between them. One battery for basic operation and the other for the extra lights and winch.
