MU 5 is an underslung type with a 12,000lb rating on first layer of rope. They could be found on many military rigs including the GTB, Chevy 4x4 and the CCKW, however the braden winches were not as common as Heil, Gar-Wood, and Tulsa supplied most of the 12K plus winches during the war.
