Sounds like you did good. You will like the cat engine but I am surprised it had to be gone through at 290,000. Should have done almost 3x that # of miles before major work. I used to drive a 425 horse 3406 once in a while about 10 years ago. The cat's 425 horse felt stronger than 427 Macks or 430 series 60's. Is the Freighliner a convention or cabover? Remember, in a cabover you are the first to arrive at a wreck=)
