1/2 ton wc bedside reproduction.

I got a quote today from a larger metal fabrication place here in Cincinnati today to breake the metal bedsides for the wc 1/2 ton. the price was 150 per side. the only two catches were that the price does not include the roll on top and I have to drill all of the holes. Has anyone out there have sucess in welding a pipe to the top and have it look good.
