Transmission seal question

I have a New Process 420 transmission in my 1960 WM300. It is leaking from the rear seal. Can someone tell me if the seal pulls outward and therefore I don't have to dissassemble the whole transmission? Where can I get the part? Is there a shop manual for the 1960 WM300 that would give me exploded views of the transmission? I am a novice, clearly.
