Call the seller and talk to him. I would not try to fix it unless I was responsible for the damage. If all else fails call your credit card company and tell them the item arrived damaged. (If you used a credit card to pay for it.) Don't try to fix it until you've tried all avenues to get your money back. It sounds to me that whoever sent it to you did an inadequate packaging job. It should be packed well enough to withstand a drop. If you think it was caused by the carrier then put in a claim. Unfortunately you should have checked the item before the driver left. Then you could have refused delivery.
