Kansas has went to ethanol in all their gas and I am fighting this as well on my 3 old carb vehicles. It seems it drys out to fast in the carb area. Just yesterday my 69 Charger died at a stop light and after some protesting got it to start. Took 3 more die and start periods to get it home.

Upon looking at the carb the inside was full of brown muck. Very fine brown dust. The ethanol is a good cleaner for fuel systems. Older vehicles and ones with metal tanks are going to have problems until they get cleaned out. My fuel filter did not appear to be clogged up at all. BUt I will replace it after the auto parts store opens tuesday.

I cannot seem to get my 440 to run very well on the high octane gas with ethanol in it.

They passed a law that they do not have to tell you there is ethanol in the gas now. The government is also giving a 10 cent a gallon kick back per gallon of gas containing ethanol is sold.
