Look under the knuckle and you will see that the lower half of the knuckle has the wide boss where the tie rod threaded end attaches. When the knuckle is bolted together, looking from the top, it may appear to be a seperate mount. It is not.
Here is a quote from the Dodge Shop Manual, 1967, Power Wagon Front Axle, WM-300 #11
"The upper and lower sections of the steering knuckle are matched and therefor not interchangable with like parts from another assembly" end of quote.
Dont be tempted to mix and match to save a buck. As we talked at the rally, now is the time to rebuild the knuckle and replace the bad one. Dont drive it with the tie rod end loose, its your steering, your life. Email or call me if you have a problem.
