I recently had to rebuild my tranny top (an after non-synchro).
When you rebuild you have to pull out the seals at the end of the shifter rails, damaging them. VPW and one other place did not have the original replacements.
I found that Clevite #219-1003 shallow cup 3/4" freeze plugs fit perfectly.
I wondered it this would be helpful in the "notes" section of the PIF.
One other tip, you MUST have the shifter in neutral in order to remove the rails. If not, the interlocks will bind and can break the casting (been there, done that).
