Last year one member here had serious electrical witch hunts, turned out to be his tach. Disconnect all wire from the coil, it should have 1 hot from ballast tresistor, and one (-) to brain. Not saying it's not a harness prob, but harness's are a pita to change, and if it ain't the cause.....

Neutral safety swith?? Ignition switch??
