I am still thinking with Chris. Each pin has a cross bolt 3/8" dia about 3 inches long with a nut. This goes thru the shackle 90 Degrees to the pin your trying to pull. The when this bolt is in place, its also sitting in a groove in the PIN so it CANT come out. Did you remove this bolt on each shackle. Not doubting you, just a double check.
Otherwise is a seriously stuck case, you can try blasting heat into the grease fitting hole. I suggest Oxy/Act to get real heat. Then once hot....NOT RED HOT, try some candle wax applied anywhere you can get to the pin. The candle was will melt and wick into the joint. I have seen wax work wonders. Then try pulling it.
DO NOT, DO NOT HEAT THE SPRING PERCH that the shackle sit in, just the pin. You may well need new shackles when your done. In most cases shackles are needed due to wear anyway.
