If it's in a ffpw you need no special tools that I know of except a that a tool made for unscrewing the carrier half is a help but after heating a cold chisel will usually get it started...I made a tool by taking a steel bar about 3 feet long, bending one end at an arc to fit around the outside of the exposed carrier bearing, then I welded two 1/4T x 1W x 2L onto the bar that fit into the slots, then you can easily unscrew the case and re-install it. I have used it on 12 or more now and it works great. Another trick is to bremove the ring gear and bolt the carrier to a used pw 5 hole rim then you can hold the thing with your knees while working on it!
