Who is good at sniffing out scams on the web?

I'm trying to sell 2 Edsel grills on Edsel.com a guy contacts me from the UK wanting me to cash a cashiers check and send the remaining funds to a shipper. He keeps asking for my name address and phone number and we have not even disscussed the price. Something seems a little fishy to me. How would you guys do this?
