Yesterday, when I was going into our little supermarket a guy was on his way out. He really stared at me, the full once over, but kept going. A few minutes later he comes up to me in the store. I thought I should have taken Col Sam shopping with me...whats up.
He asks if I have a Power Wagon, he used to have one he says. He tells me he is moving next week to his new home and has a lot of PW parts, rolling frame and cab that he doesnt want to take to the dump. If I want them, they are mine free. Naw !!! who wants PW Parts free ha ha. He does tell me the Differentials are 5.83's.
I go down this morning, just a few minutes off The Northway at Exit 8, and made a great pickup. To bad the frame had been wacked short for some reason, he said he bought it that way. The Cab needs a little work, but can be made really nice. Got a really nice windshield frame with only surface rust, the cab had 2 electric wiper motors look like original and yes, I fired them up and they work. Extra Budd Wheels, original interior cab dome lights, 5 boxes of goodies.
Without the PW T Shirt, He would nevre have known I was into PW's. Strange how things work out. This person only comes up on weekends to a camp he built. He is one of the most friendly people I have met up here in a long time and is going to stop some day and see my PW's. He got right down and dirty helping me load the trailer. Thanks Tim !!!!
