Anybody converted to propane?

I have been reading up on propane conversions so I could set our house generator up that way. Last years hurricanes made me leary of another year on gas. Filling a REDHOT generator with eight gallons of gas at 3am in your shorts makes you think. Well I thought so much it occurred to me that maybe my old flathead six would like propane also. Anybody have any info on making the conversion.
