power steering/pitman arm quest.

doing a power steering conversion on my wdx and the u joint is hitting the side of the opening in the firewall by quite a bit. the frame dosen't appear to be bent and the cab is centered on the frame. anyone else have this trouble? i don't want to go hacking and bending without some input. also, was there a difference in spline diameters in the pitman arms between the wc models and wdx?my wdx spline spins inside a wc63 pitman arm. and the splines are ok on both.
