I am not sure about interchange, BUT I know there were 2 types of Transmissions used in USA M-37 trucks. The Early type (Cant remember number) was a 'crash box' with no syncros, and the latter one, a NP420 has syncros on 3rd and 4th gear. Thanks and good luck!
