Changed plugs now what?

I replaced the spark plugs in my '53 FFPW today and now I have gas leaking all over from the carb. I thaught someone here had this problem a few forums ago. I used Delco R45s and gapped them to 0.025" and I HAD Delco C45s before with no problems. Or are some 230s sensitive to resistor plugs? I am thinking I have a bad wire or maybe a new plug is bad?
