Of course not. It's the same come-on that GMC/Chevy is offering. These sales scams all originate in some Madison Avenue advertising agency, then they get legs.
The best price, "period" is available to you if you are the 25-year old 5'10" well-built girlfriend of the manager. (the same price his wife gets, I suppose)
Failing that, the best price is available to anyone who does his homework, knows the inner workings of the typical dealership, knows the exact amount that the dealer will accept, etc. The factory and the dealers have a very complicated relationship, with quotas, givebacks, writeoffs, etc.
Do your homework, then walk in and offer your price. Tell them to take it or leave it. Chances are good that they will take it.
These days, the UAW and the makers are partners. The union gets work, whether the cars are sold or not. It's much more complicated than we could get into here.
Not being cynical, just realistic.
