I can't speak specifically for this model truck, but I did recently restore a '68 International 1300 4x4 with a cracked frame. This truck was used for plowing snow and was beaten on a regular basis. The front passenger side frame rail was buckled and cracked. I made a jig that bolted into the spring mounts, and using a torch and 30 ton bottle jack, got the frame within 1/32" of square. Then I ground out the crack and welded it with 10018, low hydrogen rod. When welding on the frame, just be careful to avoid any potential embritelling effects. I stitch welded and peened the weld as it cooled. So far, no problem.
