I wouldn't bother with lead additives. I tried them when leaded fuel was first phased out but couldn't get them after awhile. I never noticed any difference on a '54 Dodge with a V-8. On the truck engines, most had sodium filled valves and weren't susceptible to valve seat recession.
On the manifold, you can use one from a 1949 to 60 Power Wagon. Make sure it's got the 230 though and not the 251 as the later engine was longer.
