Need help w/engine-trans ID for conversion

Been searching wrecking yards for months and I think I found the parts for a V-8 conversion into a WC-52 but not sure about tranny.Here is what I found:D500 truck-production 7-4-68,vin:D586003934,engine 318-3,trans-5 syn,model-540,make-NP. Engine says Premium 318/202HP on valve covers. Engine looks to be a poly w/scalloped valve covers.This is all the info I have. Can anyone tell me if this engine,bellhousing,tranny is what I need to make the helitool V-8 conversion work??What would be a fair price to offer? Thanks Mike
