I have used this to remove rust from steel parts for over a year and it is amazing how well it works. It has been brought to my attention though that you should not use stainless steel on the positive side. I am not a chemist, nor do I pretend to be one ever, but apparently stainless steel used as the anode can cause your bath to become highly toxic. It was suggested that mild steel be used as a sacrificial anode, or for a longer lasting anode, a carbon rod or sheet. This has been discussed at great length in the past over at the Hobart welding discussion forum, where I learned about it.
