None of this is new. Chrysler tried the 7/70 warranty back in the 1970s and later had to stop for cost reasons. Right now they are financially the strongest of the Detroit automakers and they must do everything possible to maintain that. The days of any automaker offering such a warrany are long over.
As for their quality. I am impressed with how much it has improved over the last two model years vs the previous two. But I think even if it were to improve 1,000,000% people would still not be satisfied for one reason or another.
